Katharine Philippa - Home
They say – “'Home' is as abstract and peaceful as it is blunt and unnerving. In many ways, this reflects my experience of life itself. The sea has always been a source of strange comfort to me, and so I include shore ripples, which I recorded from the little beach beside Portbalintrae one dying, summer evening. I wrote this piece when I was not well. It is cavernous, and feels a little empty; it is a longing to be elsewhere.”
We say – “An old track we've loved revisiting, as we
celebrate the return of Katharine Phillipa, who's back gigging this week.
Katharine's music has dropped our jaws on many occasions, and her decision to
focus on her studies meant we've really missed her performing live. Lets be
greedy and hope for some new music soon.”
