Hounds of Alaska – All Hope
Hounds of Alasaka is a solo music project by Northern Ireland based songwriter, Edward Cairns.
He Says: “Sonically, I wanted to achieve something that hits you in the face from the start. I wanted to convey the power of early 90s alternative rock. The fact that the sentiment of the lyrics - frustration, regret and fear - happens to be quite grungy, is just because I find it nearly impossible to write happy songs.”
We Say: “The six tracks we’ve had from Edward Cairns so far, are all belters. On this latest release, the influences as before, remain all over the place - but that’s no bad thing. With the releases it’s all been a little sporadic, with no specific story line - when Edward feels like it, basically. We think that has to change, as we’re greedy for an album of this stuff, and a live show.”
