ROE - Fake Ur Death

Tuesday 7th December, 2016

They say:Fake Ur Death is about how sometimes you just can’t help but lose touch with the people around you. The sound of this track is basically a result of me falling out of love with my acoustic guitar, and in love with my electric guitar.

Once that happened, synths, fuzz pedals and drum machines suddenly didn't seem like that big of a leap.”

We say: “A swirling carnival of fuzzed out guitars, big drums and gloriously lavish synths, Fake Ur Death has serious depth. It would be easy for the vocals to get lost in the mix, but instead Roe’s voice cuts a confident path - the main attraction in a hugely ambitious track.

The payoff is a wonderfully realised single that feels emotive, engaging and just a little dangerous.”

'Fake Ur Death' is the latest single from Irish artist ROE, Roisin Donald. Her second EP, 'You Call It Art', is set for release in Spring 2017.

As often as possible Across the Line aims to bring you a great new, recent or interesting track each day, Monday to Friday. To get your new music to Across the Line send it via the BBC Introducing Uploader.
