Shrug Life is the moniker of Danny, Josh and Keith on a self-proclaimed ‘struggle to make music fight first world problems’. Making Progress is their latest single, a song styled in the form of a political manifesto.

GIRLS NAMES – RETICENCE

Belfast’s post-punk quartet Girls Names are amongst a host of Northern bands to grace the line-up of this year’s Electric Picnic. They have recently finished a UK-wide tour, concluding in Cork.

MY TRIBE YOUR TRIBE - GARDEN SONG

My Tribe Your Tribe is an alternative-rock band from Kildare, Ireland consisting of musicians George Mercer, Tod Doyle and Colm Daffy. The trio are in Galway on the first week of March, supported by the native band, ‘Saint Facade’.

CARRIAGES - LIKE A CHILD

Carriages are Dublin duo Harry Bookless and Aaron Page. They use field recordings, captured in and around Dublin city to create a backdrop for their songs to create an atmospheric warmth and familiarity in their music.

CM88 - MONOTINOUS WANDERINGS

CM88 is Limavady electronic music producer, Charles Mullan, currently operating in Belfast. He creates atmospheric and stylised soundscapes inspired by 80’s music and analogue sound. He has recently released new an EP entitled ‘V’, the concluding part of a trilogy of Eps.

SYLVIER - HARD TO FIND

Sylvier is the musical alias of Irish artist, Emma Hughes, which was a name inspired by her own Granddad, Silvester. Originally from Donegal but living in Derry, Emma has captured the music scene’s attention with her unique style of infectious pop.
