On this week’s New Tune Disco, Rigsy and Stu were joined by Charlene Hegarty to discuss new music including:
Leo Drezden – Black Palace
Charlene: “I just love the track, I think it’s got real energy, they’re such amazing musicians.”
Rosseau – Smothered
Charlene: “When I first heard it, it reminded me of early days Braid… Really nice kind of melodic sensibility stuff with the guitar work.”
GIRL – Head First
Stu: “Cobain-esque riffs…It’s so tight and muscular that it just roars out of the speaker.”
My Tribe Your Tribe – Will To Survive
Rigsy: “This is just absolutely fantastic.”
Charlene: “They seem to be releasing a series of singles, hopefully leading up to a full length album…. It’s just lovely, really good ambient electronica music.”
Hounds of Alaska – All Hope
Rigsy: “This is the third release… As before, influences all over the place – no bad thing. We’d love to see an album or an EP. Brilliant, brilliant stuff.”
Atriums – Down By The Beaches
Charlene: “It’s a beautiful track. It’s really fast and powerful, yet delicate. Check out the video with it it’s absolutely beautiful and does a lot to develop the whole track.”
Neon Atlas – Velocity
Rigsy: “This is such a grower, I really wanted to play it on the show… It’s a big catchy riff.
