They say: It became a song without meaning it to, I just kept playing these notes which sounded cool to me and within 15 minutes I had the full song. I have no idea what influenced me on this track, maybe The Cramps, The Fire Engines or Shop Assistants. I always like to see my C86/jangle side come out and for people to hear it. Live I always noticed this song getting people moving…
We say: Ballsy move to release your debut single on cassette - and one that automatically results in a fair amount of eye rolling and mild irritation. Thisneeds to be good. And yes - it's an absolute belter, full of wonderful, scuzzy nonchalance and a charmingly indifferent vocal. All is forgiven.
