New Atlas - Naked

Monday 24th October, 2016

They say:“‘Naked’ is something I have spent a year trying to create. I spent a year in my apartment, quit drinking, quit going out and had next to no socialising, just focusing on how to take this sound out of my head, and put it on paper. The song is about learning to love yourself and my music is about reforming negatives to positives. Which is where I got my line “Sad songs you can Dance to”. I still am buried away in my home studio writing every day. So if you like ‘Naked’ expect more soon.”

We say: “If you’re going to do something - do it right. New Atlas have made a pop song - and made it unashamedly catchy - with huge, broad appeal. Big synths, handclaps, unforgettable chorus - every box is ticked.”

New Atlas is the work of Irish born, Liverpool based Owen O’Hagan. Live dates in December include Leeds, London, Nottingham, Paris and Liverpool before a Belfast date in The Eglantine on 16th December. ‘Naked’ is available now.

As often as possible Across the Line aims to bring you a great new, recent or interesting track each day, Monday to Friday. To get your new music to Across the Line send it via the BBC Introducing Uploader.
