Cinder Ghost - Snake Eyes
He Says: "This track followed a much more organic route than my previous work, instead of layering and layering synths as a lot of my other work tends to, I wanted to make something more stripped back, bare and true. The song itself features very little, which was something I was apprehensive of at first but is something I was proud of when I finished.
As for influences, I remember at the time I started writing this song in particular I was listening to a lot of ‘Wild Beasts’ and earlier ‘Bloc Party’. I don't ever set out to have my influences become part of the music I make, but I think somehow listening to these bands as much as I was, that side of things crept in.
‘Snake Eyes’ is the first track I've released from ‘Every Leaf, Every Tree’ and like all the tracks on this album it started as a demo from my previous EP "The Witches Son" (hence the name Every Leaf, Every Tree - this EP is an amalgamation of a lot of things).”
We Say: “Itchy and uneasy, 'Snake Eyes' is like nothing else we've heard in a while. With a less-is-more approach, it's also an exercise in how to produce something that's incredibly engaging, without the need for unnecessary noises.”
