Congratulations to Ciaran Lavery, who was the recipient of this year’s Northern Ireland Music Prize, at a ceremony held in Mandela Hall, Belfast, on Friday night.
The Antrim singer-songwriter won the prize for his latest record, ‘Let Bad In’. On his Facebook page, Ciaran states:
“I'm truly honoured to have won the NI Music Prize for 'album of the year'.
All my love and thanks go to the team that created ‘Let Bad In’ with me, my wonderful management and label Believe Recordings UK who gave it a home.
This is for all the other incredible nominees, and dedicated to the memory of Bap Kennedy and Leonard Cohen.
