Ciara O’Neill - Ghosts
Tuesday 15th March 2016
They Say: “Dealing with the theme of loss, the 'Ghosts' of past relationships and lost dreams follow us throughout our life, helping to create the person we have become. I wanted the production on this song to have a ghostly, atmospheric feel and I think we achieved that particularly with the snare drum and the reversed whispers / whistles in the bridge.”
We Say: “While a relatively traditional singer songwriter - on paper at least, Ciara’s voice has always been hypnotic and haunting. Which is why we’re delighted to see her go a little off centre on debut album ‘The Ebony Trail’, specifically with this gorgeous first single. Pretty, but with just the right amount of sinister mystery, she’s proving her worth as an oddly unique artiste.”
Ciara is currently in America with live dates in The Factory, Franklin (Tennessee) and The Bluebird Café, Nashville on 16th & 17th March 2016, respectively. The animated video for ‘Ghosts’ was directed by Ashling Lindsay and ‘The Ebony Trail’ is out now.
