Slomatics - Electric Breath

Wednesday 15thJune, 2016

They say: “This song encapsulates a lot of the themes we covered on the album - evolution, otherness and destiny. Our intention is to combine nihilism with euphoria, so if there's anyone out there who feels particularly happy about our doomed fate, then we wrote this song for you.”

We say: “A hulking behemoth of a track, ‘Electric Breath’ is everything we have come to expect from Belfast’s purveyors of ‘70s-influenced sludge. Comparisons to Sabbath, Electric Wizard et al are easy to make (and probably quite fair), but Slomatics are their very much their own beast and all the better for it.

Theatrical keyboard drones and otherworldly noises add to the space-age sonic terror of a track that embraces the unbridled power - and fun - of the riff.”

'Electric Breath' is a sneak preview of what will feature on Slomatics' fifth album, 'Future Echo Returns'. It's due for release later this year on September 2nd, on Black Bow Records.
