Belfast /Carryduff three piece Hot Cops have been selected to play the BBC Introducing stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend which takes place on the 23rd and 24th May in Earlham Park, Norwich. Hot Cops formed in 2013 and released their third EP ‘#1 Babes’ in January, with a trail of successful gigs across Belfast in recent months. The festival‘s headliners this year include Taylor Swift, George Ezra, Ben Howard and The Vaccines.

The line-up has been announced for the first Carrybridge Rock ‘n’ Blues Festival which will take place this 4th July at the Carrybridge Lakeside Lodge in Lisbellaw, Co. Fermanagh. Acts announced to be playing at festival so far are Million Dollar Reload, Trucker Diablo, Kaz Hawkins and Band o’ Men, Sidewalk Boogie, Billy Boy Miskimmin and Mercy Lounge, Blues Direct and The Hardchargers.
The Secret Garden Music Festival will take place at Kilpoole Hill, Wicklow Town on Saturday 27th June. Artists confirmed to be playing the event include Damien Dempsey, O Emperor, The Cujo Family, The Eskies, Interskalactic, Columbia Mills, Tell No Foxx and East Coast Jazz Band.
