Final year at Eagle's Rock for Glasgowbury

Across The Line

Sad news for all music fans in Northern Ireland as it has been announced that this year's Glasgowbury will be the final full-scale event at it's current home in Eagle’s Rock, Draperstown. However, the organisers have been very clear about their desire to keep elements of the festvial alive but not necessarilly in the same format.

"Plans are already afoot to break new ground and create innovative platforms to showcase our local artists to new domestic and international audiences." From Press Release

Glasgowbury has been an intergral part of the local music scene since it's inception in 2000. This year, which will mark the 13th annual festival, will see headlining sets from ASIWYFA, The Japanese Popstars and The Answer.

The buzz that Glasgowbury created each year inspired many other communities to set up their own regional music festivals.

Across the Line has been part of the Glasgowbury story every step of the way, recording some of our future music stars (including Kowalski, Foy Vance & Rainy Boy Sleep) in a field, in the Sperrins, for posterity and taking lots of pictures

Tune in on Monday night for more details.
