White Sage - Parnell Street June 1955
He says: “It is an imagined step in time based on a stroll around Parnell Street on a hot day last June after I received a photograph of my grandparents taken on the same street in the 1950's.”
We say: “From the Way Beyond Our Means E.P, released at the end of last month, White Sage is the solo project of Andy Walsh. Analog synths, an early 20th century piano (so we’re told!) and wonderful, warm fuzzy distortion work around that tight drum loop, the melodies drifting off at points before coming back on point. He says it’s ‘Dreamwave music to ride your bike to’…we can buy that.”
