*Air Horn* YO! YO! YO! YO! *Air Horn*. Phil Taggart back hot boxing the ATL blog with an overwhelming stank of new music. It stings the nostrils. As per usual I have three little prodigious cherubs for your consideration. Read. Listen. Enjoy. *Air Horn*

AffrayElidor

Haunting drum and bass from Belfast. There’s a nod to to Netsky a wink to High Contrast, eastern tinged melodies and could easily be the theme music to a computer game, bad level from the early 90’s. In Affray’s own words ‘turn up the love’

Kool Thing – This is the Place

Some members from Dublin, some from Sydney. Live in Berlin, play gigs in Ireland? Who cares? Exactly. It’s all about the tunes. These guys have ice cool tunes, the sort that lands a kickflip on their skateboard and doesn’t look for approval. Check out their track ‘This is the Place’ for full confirmation of my spewed out hyperbole.

Little Rivers – Only God

Little Rivers is the solo project of former Colly Strings bass swinger Callum Cairns. Bucking the notion that bass players just ‘flub a few notes and flick their hair’, Callum shows intricate skill with his guitar and even more astonishingly a voice so elegiac the elves in Lord of the Rings would be jealous. There’s an ode to Bon Iver in the layering of over dubbed vocals and guitar and we love it. His EP ‘We, I’ is teetering on release. I got a good feeling about this guy.
