RTE’s eclectic music show ‘Other Voices’ will make the trip north as part of the City of Culture celebration in Derry-Londonderry. The programme, which usually takes place in the intimate surroundings of St James Church in Dingle, Co. Kerry, will host a number of performances in the city next year.



The show recently marked its 10-year anniversary with two sold-out shows at New York’s Le Poisson Rouge which featured Glen Hansard, Bryce and Aaron Dessner (The National), Bell X1, Martha Wainwright and many more.

Other events taking place for the City of Culture celebrations in 2013 will be the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann from August 11-18, the Turner Prize award for contemporary art, a cantata written by Pulitzer-prizewinning Northern Ireland poet Paul Muldoon and the composer Mark-Anthony Turnage, a pageant celebrating the ‘Return of Colmcille’ written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce and much much more.
