Additions for the Great Northern Songbook!
As reported previously, the BBC is organising a special concert called 'The Great Northern Songbook' as part of the Ulster Hall's 150th anniversary celebrations. The public have been asked to vote for their favourite Northern Irish song from the last 150 years and the top ten will be performed by the Ulster Orchestra and ten NI acts on the 22nd of May at the venue.
Ciaran Gribbin, And So I Watch You From Afar, RAMS’ Pocket Radio and Barry Lynn (Boxcutter) have now been added to the existing line-up of Cara Dillon, Brian Kennedy, The Answer, General Fiasco and Katharine Philippa.
You can choose your favourite track from a 32 song shortlist andvoting closes tomorrow (30th March) at 5pm. Tickets for this concert are available from midday tomorrow and you can enter the random draw at www.bbc.co.uk/tickets.
