Another Wednesday, another online chat between the frontman/woman of an awesome band and our Rigsy. This time around, it's the turn of Cahir O'Doherty, from legends of the ATL playlist, Fighting with Wire, ahead of the band's show at The Stiff Kitten next Wednesday.

After getting over the shock of Cahir's avatar being a picture of him wearing a rather fetching flowery dress, Rigsy had a few questions about 'Chinese Democracy', aka the long awaited second FWW album....

Cahir says: i'm so lazy i just end up wearing a dress every year

Rigsy says: also because YOU LOOK GREAT IN ONE

Cahir says: i look fab in a dress

Rigsy says: it's a very dignified dress, like your sunday best

Cahir says: its my girlfriends sunday dress haha

Rigsy says: do you think you'd have been as successful as a band if you were all born girls?

Cahir says: yes more successful then maybe girls would like our band

Rigsy says: this is just like parky, isn't it?

Cahir says: yes, just like parky

Rigsy says: right so the rescheduled gig was the snow ruined it the last time, aye?

Cahir says: ah yes. jack frost is a ******

Rigsy says: are youz doing many shows at the moment?

Cahir says: we toured a bit before christmas doing shows with helmet and lafaro but we're waiting for our label to put a plan together for this new album

Rigsy says: is the album finished?

Cahir says: yes

Rigsy says: how long has it been finished? like mastered and all of that?

Cahir says: its been finished for a while. it still has to be mixed

Rigsy says: ah right. so whats the hold up? is it just normal label messing about?

Cahir says: exactly. we're dying to get it moving but its out of our hands we're not used to working this way. its annoying if i'm honest

Rigsy says: are youz holding back from playing the new songs out and stuff like that?

Cahir says: no we're playing a lot of new stuff live and we've put together an ep of new songs inbetween and touring as much as we can

Rigsy says: so realistically what are we talking here....summer release?

Cahir says: we realize that people want to hear the new album and they will this year we're really just waiting on the word to start touring

Rigsy says: right well lets look forward to it then. if the first and second albums were superheros. who would they be and who would win in a death match

Cahir says: first album is wolverine. because at the time we felt like maniacs who had nothing left to lose

Rigsy says: and the second?

Cahir says: batman

Rigsy says: dark? mysterious? with a camp buddy?

Cahir says: exactly

Rigsy says: is it an angry album right enough?

Cahir says: its darker than the first and more mature but still sounds like us 3 weirdos

Rigsy says: ha ha, thats a relief

right. our time is nearly up

Cahir says: new fww songs. a whole heap of them

Rigsy says: what if i went and stood down the front possibly in a dress, and shouted PLAY THE HITS would that annoy you?

Cahir says: i hear you're a treat in a dress

Rigsy says: but i mean, what about punters waiting out for the big tunes they gonna be all raging

Cahir says: nah old news. if i have to play sugar again i might commit murder

Rigsy says: ha ha, really?! ach man

what if people wanna hear sugar!

seriously tho! i'll be honest, that does bug me a bit, sugar fair enough, it's as old as the sun but still, people maybe seein ya for the first time n' all

Cahir says: we play our favs from the first album. its a good mix of old and new

Rigsy says: sweet THAT'S ALL I WANTED TO HEAR as you where

Cahir says: FINE
