Where's Your Head At - Le Galaxie?

Post categories:

ATL|15:18 UK time, Thursday, 28 October 2010

Here at ATL we are constantly attempting to make sense of this cruel and often bewildering thing called life. In an attempt to prove once and for all that people in bands are as fruity round the brain bits as ourselves, we set up a daring psychological experiment. We ask a series of questions and some of our favourite music makers answer them. Challenging, we know.

Dublin based electro-poppers Le Galaxie play Auntie Annies tomorrow evening (29th October) for Animal Disco. We love them, and therefore they are the very first to hop onto the slab for a closer cranial inspection.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is your earliest memory?

Being cast In Back To The Future in November 1984. We shot for two weeks until the producers realised that an 2-foot infant who couldn't speak English and needed 18 hours sleep a day was a poor choice to play Marty McFly. The role was re-cast.

What is your first musical memory?

Seeing Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley on Top Of The Pops and wanting to claw his eyes out because of the noise that was coming out of his gob.

Tell us about your childhood.

Die Hard was released in 1988. Everything else is a footnote.

Describe your self as a teenager.

A plug-faced nerdlinger with one school friend (Brendan Hughes) and a unhealthy obession with my history teacher. Oh, and i believed in Santa Clause for the first of my teenage years.

Do you have any recurring dreams or nightmares?

That, when they are eventually created, Cylons wont be as sexy as they were on the telly.

When did you last cry?

I spend one hour of each day gently sobbing about the fact that William Shatner will, one day, die.

Do you respect authority?

Yes. Unless someone tells me not to.

What is your deepest fear?

Having certain body parts fed to me.

Tell us in one sentence what makes you happy?

Predator 2.

Tell us one secret that you have never or at least rarely told someone

I love Predator 2.

Our resident psychologist, Dr. B. Normal says "clearly these people have attention..defecit....stuff".
