5:12pm Stephen says: i had my eyes closed for the first two songs and then I looked over and saw Dan headboppong in the crowd

5:14pm Stephen says: yea dans the punk guy and spencers the classical guy, but both sing

5:14pm Rigsy says: so hold on, did you speak to him before the gig an dsay? or did they both just watch outa politeness/interest in the support?

5:15pm Stephen says: well pete and me arrived at the limelight with that new album blasting in the car

5:15pm Rigsy says: their new album?

5:15pm Stephen says: i opend the door and dan was standing there having a fag

5:15pm Stephen says: i think he thought we were male groupies

5:15pm Rigsy says: ha ha so what did you say to them?

5:16pm Stephen says: so i bumbled a kind of....2uh...we're the support"

5:16pm Rigsy says: did you explain how much of a fan you were?

5:17pm Stephen says: hahaha# not really the full extent but i think he clocked it

5:17pm Rigsy says: so how come me came seen you? cause it's terrible how little interest a lot of bands show in local support

5:17pm Stephen says: i just think they're that kind of band

5:17pm Rigsy says: excellent. ha, this is class though, very very cool so did he enjoy it?!

5:18pm Stephen says: they had the good nature to stick around and check out the supports yea he said we were easily the best support in the last two years!!!! paul told him to **** off and he laughed and said no seriously!

5:19pm Rigsy says: mate thats amazing, ha ha. i'm sure he was buzzing as much as you were

5:19pm Stephen says: yea its probab;ly made my year

5:19pm Rigsy says: bet it made his night as well. knowing he'd just told a band who love his music that he rates them. so you gonna get any other supports or anything out of it?

5:19pm Stephen says: hehe i hope so.....definitly a night i'll never forget well he's put the idea out that we could possibly join him on the Handsome Furs tour (side project|)

5:21pm Rigsy says: i'm very jealous having your faourite band come see your own bad and dig it is ludicrous anyway....you guys seem to be reinventing yourselfs a little

5:22pm Stephen says: I guess our sound has changed a bit. But really more the way we work has changed I took a lot of time off work yast year and sat down with the idea to write a whole new set of material by nov 09 I'm still working on it!

5:23pm Rigsy says: did you ever consider chanign the band name and totally relaunching?

5:24pm Stephen says: yea. its been somethin we're still wondering about

5:24pm Rigsy says: its interesting. my old band, we did that after a personel change. i dunno if it was a good idea

5:24pm Stephen says: Yea man I remember

5:24pm Rigsy says: apart from the fact our original name was rubbish but anyway, i missed some of the old songs, didn't seem right not playing them

5:25pm Stephen says: A name chance can comes with a lot of baggage too I guess...like people willl always say 'oh they're just reinventing thewmselves again'

5:25pm Rigsy says: so would you guys have dismissed all your old stuff? cause there's some classics in there man!

5:26pm Stephen says: tbh we just want to do something fresh that we're all behind theres some old song songs that we'd consider but I think all the new songs kick that stuff into touch

5:27pm Rigsy says: chattin to yr comrade paul. he mentioned about management, press people etc etc are youz embracing the business side of things? aka making a proper go of it this time

5:29pm Stephen says: Paul takes care of a lot more of thew business end ot things than me atm but yea the business side is important Pauls great with ideas like that

5:34pm Stephen says: I guess it feels like we're doing it right this time, and I still haven't gotten tired of listening to them yet, so to me thats always a good sign
