A quick round up of what's new this week on BBC iPlayer, programmes that are about to become unavailable, plus some hidden gems you might have missed.

Gavin And Stacey: Christmas Special

Brand new Gavin and Stacey for Christmas Day 2019! The special episode will be available on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with all episodes from series 1 streaming on BBC iPlayer now.

A Christmas Carol

The three-part special is a unique and original take on the Charles Dickens iconic ghost story by Steven Knight and haunting, halluncinatory, spine-tingling immersion into Scrooges dark night of the soul. Available from Sunday 22 December.

Take Off With Bradley And Holly

Bradley Walsh and Holly Willoughby will be spreading the Christmas chee as they make wishes come true in a brand new family entertainment show. Available from Tuesday 24 December.

Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special

Six of the most-loved Strictly contestants from pervious series are returning to the dancefloor for an all-star Christmas extravaganza, coming to BBC One on Christmas Day. Available from Wednesday 25 December.

Michael McIntyre's Big Christmas Show

Michael McIntyre's Big Christmas Show is a festive version of his usual entertainment programme. The series is comprised of a number of comedic segments as well as guest performances. Available from 25 December.

Toy Story 3

Family animation. With their owner Andy leaving home for university, the toys fear for their future. Escaping being thrown away as rubbish, they arrive at a childcare centre. Available from Tuesday 24 December.

Frozen

Disney animation. A plucky princess ventures into the frozen forest to search for her sister, whose powers have locked the kingdom in an eternal winter. Available from Tuesday 24 December.

Beauty And The Beast

The live-actiion remake of the Disney fairytale classic, starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens. Available from Tuesday 24 December.

Mimi And The Mountain Dragon

A special 2D animated adaptation of Sit Michael Morpurgo's children's book Mimi And the Mountain Dragon is having its television premiere this festive season! Available from Thursday 26 December.

Goes Wrong Show: The Spirit Of Christmas

A joyful Christmas tale as The Cornley Drama Society present the story of Santa and his elves trying to bring festive happiness to a sad little girl and her constantly-fighting parents. Can the magical toy machine restore her Christmas cheer? Available from Monday 23 December.

The Christmas Misadventures Of Romesh Ranganathan

Comedian and TV presenter Romesh Ranganathan is travelling the furthest he's ever travelled outside of his cosy comfort zone as he heads to one of the coldest and most hostile environments on earth. Available from Sunday 22 December.

One Night: Joshua Vs Ruiz

Documentary revisiting one of the greatest boxing upsets in decades - heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s defeat by virtual unknown Andy Ruiz. Available now.

Dolly Parton: Here I Am

Dolly Parton: Here I Am is the latest film from Bafta-winning producer/director, Francis Whately. With unprecedented access, it reveals the genius songwriter behind the rhinestones, the private individual who reveals almost everything. Available from Wednesday 25 December.
