Make sure you join us this week as we head back to the 80s with a Chrissie Hynde special and the CBBC Extra gang delve into ghostly goings-on with their half-term special – Shock-tober. And it’s your final chance to watch highlights of Radio 1Xtra’s Live in Leeds gig.

Sounds of the 80s

Sounds of the 80s is ‘back on the chain gang’ for another visual special on Red Button and iPlayer, as Sara Cox brings you the best in pop videos from the decade and talks to The Pretenders frontwoman Chrissie Hynde.

Sara and Chrissie chat about The Pretenders’ classic 1983 album Learning to Crawl, including the difficult personal times that preceded the album’s release. We show a video of one of the well-known singles from the record, and Chrissie chooses one of her favourite songs from the decade.

Enjoy videos from artists such as Michael Jackson, Bucks Fizz, Godley & Crème and many more! Plus Sara reminds us of the top five songs from this week in 1987.
