BBC programmes featured on the 2016 Broadcast Awards Shortlist revealed yesterday.
Car Share, Detectorists, Inside No.9 and People Just Do Nothing are all shortlisted for the Best Comedy Award. Car Share - released as a BBC iPlayer exclusive earlier this year - is also up for Best Original Drama.
CBBC programmes have been shortlisted five times in the Best Children's Programme including nominations for Eve, Horrible Histories and Mr Alzheimers and Me (Executive Producer Natasha Dack's wrote about the making of the programme in a blog post earlier this year).
Recent BBC One hit drama Doctor Foster features in the Best Drama Series category alongside The Missing, Poldark and Wolf Hall. One-off dramas An Inspector Calls and Marvellous are also shortlisted in the BestSingle Drama category. EastEnders, Casualty and Holby City feature on the Continuing Drama Series shortlist.
