BBC iPlayer Highlights 1-7 February 2020

A quick round up of what's new this week on BBC iPlayer, programmes that are about to become unavailable, plus some hidden gems you might have missed.

Six Nations

Coverage of the annual rugby union championship kicks off on Saturday 1

February when Wales meet Italy, followed by France v England on Sunday the 2

Coverage streaming from Saturday 1 February.



Snowfall

Series three of the gritty drama based on the 80’s Los Angeles crack epidemic continues, as Franklin, a young street entrepreneur chases success by any means necessary. Available from Saturday 1 February.



Inside No.9

The fifth series returns as Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton bring six brand new stand-alone dark, yet comically twisted tales. Fifth series available weekly from Monday 3 February, plus all previous series available now.

Superbowl LIV

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers at Miami Gardens in Florida and marks the 100th year of the National Football League, available Sunday 2 February. 



Beauty Laid Bare

Four people in their 20s with different attitudes towards makeup spend two weeks in America investigating the secrets of the multi-billion dollar beauty industry, meeting manufacturers, influencers and critics to uncover the secrets lurking within their makeup bags. Available from Sunday 2 February. 

Giri/Haji

A soulful thriller set in Tokyo and London, exploring the butterfly effect of a single murder across two cities. A dark, witty and daring examination of morality and redemption.

Better Things

Comedy drama series following Sam Fox, a single mother, as she tries to raise her three daughters while keeping her acting career afloat.



Louis Theroux 

Over 50 of Louis’ wide array of gripping documentaries from across his wide-ranging back catalogue are streaming now, including the brilliant recent doc Selling Sex.



Absolutely Fabulous

Crack open the Bolly! Eddy and Patsy growing old disgracefully in the world of fashion and celebrity. Follow them as they fight to stay young in an increasingly youthful world.

Les Misérables

A story of love, redemptions and hope. In this epic Andrew Davies adaptation of

Victor Hugo's classic novel, an extraordinary cast of characters struggle to survive in war-torn France. The entire series is available until Monday 3 February.



A Hard Day's Night

Anarchic and offbeat 1960s story of 36 hours in the lives of The Beatles, as they travel to a TV show in London. The film uses a variety of cinematographic styles including documentary, surrealism and neorealism to create one of the milestone pictures of the decade. Film available until Sunday 2 February.



Alaska: Earth's Frozen Kingdom

Three-part series that looks at a year in Alaska, revealing the stories of pioneering Alaskans, both animal and human, as they battle the elements and reap the benefits of nature's seasonal gold rush. Series available until Friday 7 February.



Bats, Balls And Bradford Girls

The first all-Asian girls' cricket team train for their last tournament together. Now they have left school, will outside pressures of life get in the way? Available until Sunday 2 February.
