Headliners is a weekly radio show with in-depth interviews the biggest names in entertainment, culture and the arts by Nihal Arthanayake.

The show started in September 2017 with an interview with U2's bassist Adam Clayton.

Who is Nihal Arthanayake?

Nihal is a radio and TV presenter for BBC Asian Network and BBC Radio 5 Live. He joined BBC Radio 1 in 2002 as co-host of a night time Asian Beats show with DJ Bobby Friction. In 2007 he moved on to present the Radio 1 Weekend Show before moving to weekend afternoons a year later.

Nihal's Radio 1 show won Best Radio Show at the UK Asian Music Awards as well as the Sony Award for Best Speech Programme for his Asian Network show in 2010.

In TV, Nihal co-presented three series of BBC Two's flagship Asian music arts and culture show, Desi DNA alongside Adil Ray and Anita Rani from 2004. He's also appeared on BBC Two's Art School, Celebrity Masterchef, the BRIT Awards and The Culture Show.
