BBC One dramas are TV Choice

Last night (Monday 8 September) the TV Choice Awards were held at a ceremony in London. Three BBC programmes took home almost half the awards, EastEnders, Sherlock and Happy Valley.
EastEnderswon Best Soap, Best Soap Actor and Actress for Danny Dyer and Lindsey Coulson (pictured) and the Special Contribution to Television Award.
Sherlockadds even more to its cabinet (after last week’s Emmys haul) claiming the Best Drama Series and Best Actor award for Benedict Cumberbatch.
Last, but by no means least, writer Sally Wainwright’s Happy Valley took home Best New Drama and earned Sarah Lancashire the Best Actress award.
