A round up of BBC announcements, press releases and blogs, plus some highlights from our TV, radio and online output last week.

Radio 3 Autumn Season

On Wednesday, BBC Radio 3 controller Alan Davey unveiled new commissions across the music and culture station, including Slow Radio commissions, special seasons, new programmes, schedule changes and a presenter reshuffle.

League Of Gentlemen

Having confirmed last week that BBC Two would broadcast three special 20th anniversary episodes of the cult hit comedy it was unveiled that filming will begin on the specials next month in Manchester and the Peak District, with Reece Shearsmith, Steve Pemberton and Mark Gatiss, who have written the shows alongside co-creator Jeremy Dyson.

Drama

On Tuesday we published the media pack for the eagerly awaited second series of Doctor Foster which starts on BBC One on Tuesday 5 September at 9pm.

Also on Tuesday we published an interview with JK Rowling (on behalf of Robert Galbraith) about Strike - A Cuckoo's Calling, and on Thursday the Strike - Silkwormmedia pack went live.

On Friday, Christopher Eccleston and Paula Malcomson were confirmed to star in Danny Brocklehurst's new BBC One drama, Come Home.

Entertainment

BBC One announced All Together Now, a brand new six-part entertainment format for Saturday nights hosted by comedian Rob Beckett.

World Service

From Monday 4 September, the BBC Uzbek news bulletins will be broadcast on Arezo TV between 18.00 and 18.10 local time, Monday to Friday. The launch is part of the biggest expansion of the World Service since the 1940s.

Blogs

On Saturday, we celebrated 'National Dog Day' with a round up some of our favourite BBC pooches and canine related shows in Pedigree talent; we also published BBC iPlayer Highlights 2-8 September; and on Friday marked Relaunching a British Icon: BBC Studioworks Re-Opens Television Centre Studios.
