A quick round up of what's new this week on BBC iPlayer, programmes that are about to become unavailable, plus some hidden gems you might have missed.

Alan Bennett's Talking Heads

Alan Bennett’s masterpieces Talking Heads have been remade, plus two new ones written by Bennet last year have been filmed during lockdown with stars Jodie Comer, Monica Dolan, Martin Freeman, Tamsin Greig, Sarah Lancashire, Lesley Manville, Lucian Msamati, Maxine Peake, Rochenda Sandall, Kristin Scott Thomas, Imelda Staunton and Harriet Walter. All twelve Talking Heads will then be available to stream from Tuesday 23 June.

The Glastonbury Experience

Jo Whiley and Mark Radcliffe celebrate the weekend that would have marked 50 years of the Glastonbury Festival with an inviting blend of great performances from the archives and live acoustic sets from contemporary artists. Streaming from Friday 26 June, with a wide range of classic performances from the archive being made available over the weekend.

I Am Not Your Negro

Feature-length BAFTA award-winning documentary inspired by James Baldwin's unfinished

manuscript, Remember This House, a collection of notes and letters written by Baldwin in the mid-1970s. The memoir recounts the lives of his close friends and civil rights leaders Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., and Medgar Evers. Narrated by Samuel L. Jackson. Available from Saturday 20 June.

The Luminaries

A 19th century tale of adventure and mystery, set on the Wild West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island in the boom years of the 1860s gold rush, begins. Starring Eva Green, Himesh Patel, Eve Hewson and Benedict Hardie. Full series available as a box set from Sunday 21 June.

Ibiza Dreams

This series follows 10 hard- working young Brits trying to kick start their careers over one season on the world's most glamorous party island. Filmed over six weeks, they’ll live together in workers apartments as they hustle to make ends meet while faced with non- stop temptation. Available from Sunday 21 June.

Stephen: The Murder That Changed A Nation

Three-part documentary series examining the murder of Stephen Lawrence, from the crime itself through to the prosecution and the public inquiry that followed. Available on BBC iPlayer from Monday 22 June.

The Salisbury Poisonings

In March 2018 Salisbury became the site of an unprecedented national emergency. This three-part dramatisation focuses on the extraordinary heroism shown by the local community. Available from Sunday 14 June.

Staged

David Tennant and Michael Sheen were due to put on a play in the West End before the production was put on hold because of the pandemic. The play’s director, Simon Evans, is worried that his big break is about to pass him by and tries to convince his doubtful actors to carry on rehearsals online. Streaming from Wednesday 10 June.

What We Do In The Shadows

The vampires try to find their way in a world of human Super Bowl parties, internet trolls, an energy vampire who gets a promotion and becomes drunk on power and of course, all the ghosts, witches, necromancers, zombies and shadowy cloaked assassins who roam freely in the Tri-State area. Series 1 & 2 streaming from Thursday 11 June.

On Chesil Beach

Set in England in 1962, a touching tale of two young lovers Edward and Florence and how their unexpressed misunderstandings and fears shape the rest of their lives. Based on the Ian McEwan novel. Streaming from Wednesday 24 June.

Leviathan

Award-winning Russian drama. In a small coastal town, a family is forced to fight a corrupt mayor who told them their house will be demolished. In Russian with English subtitles. Streaming from Sunday 21 June.

The Magnificent Seven

Classic Western. After the latest raid by bandits, the villagers in a small settlement in Mexico band together to hire a group of disparate gunfighters to protect them. Starring Steve McQueen, Yul Brynner, and Charles Bronson. Streaming from Sunday 21 June

The Lady In The Van

Maggie Smith stars in the true story of Miss Shepherd, an eccentric woman of uncertain origins, who 'temporarily' parked her broken-down van in writer Alan Bennett's London driveway for 15 years. Streaming from Friday 26 June.

Suburbicon

1959. The Lodge family’s apparently idyllic town seethes with small-mindedness and worse, while a cruel home invasion has crushing consequences for young Nicky. Drama directed by George Clooney and written by the Coen brothers. Available until Thursday 25 June.

Summer Of Rockets

Fear and excitement of the future permeates lives in the tumultuous summer of 1958. Stephen Poliakoff’s semi-autobiographical drama recalls an unforgettable time in British history. Available until Thursday 25 June.

Monkman And Seagull's Genius Adventures

Eric Monkman and Bobby Seagull travel around Britain, exploring scientific breakthroughs from the Industrial Revolution and the Victorian era. Full series available until Sunday 21st June.

Spotlight

Drama about the Boston Globe's unearthing of a massive paedophilia scandal within the Massachusetts Catholic Archdiocese. Available until Monday 22 June.
