Ruth Wilson in Mrs Wilson

Mrs Wilson is a three-part drama based on the life of Alison Wilson.

The series is set between 1940s and 1960s London and follows Alison, who thinks she is happily married until her husband dies and a woman turns up on her doorstep claiming to be the real Mrs Wilson.

Who’s in it?

The cast of Mrs Wilson

Ruth Wilson. The award-winning actress, known for The Affair and Luther, is leading the all-British cast as Alison Wilson, Ruth’s own grandmother, who finds out that her marriage wasn’t all that it seemed.

Iain Glen. The Game of Thrones and Delicious actor is joining Ruth Wilson as Alexander Wilson, Alison’s husband with a secret past.

Keeley Hawes. You’ll know her as Julia Montague in Bodyguard and DI Alex Drake in Ashes To Ashes. Hawes plays Dorothy, an elusive figure from Alexander’s past.

Fiona Shaw. Who could forget Fiona as Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter series? Others may also know her as Marnie Stonebrook in True Blood. She plays Coleman, Alexander’s handler.

When’s it on?

Mrs Wilson airs on Tuesday 27 November at 9pm on BBC One.

The series will run weekly for another two episodes.
