This week's Ten Things takes takes a whistle-stop tour of items from across the BBC which have caught my eye this week.

1.On Monday this week, BBC World News began broadcasting from new HD studios in Broadcasting House. Andrew Roy explained more about the move on The Editors Blog. TV Live captured screen-grabs from some elements of the new visual design and presentation. Mishal Husain also took viewers on a tour around the new facility.

2. Remaining with news, Moscow correspondent Daniel Sandford was grantedrare access to film inside the Kremlin. You can watch his film showing the breathtaking interior on the BBC News website.

3. Over on the TV Blog, doctor Jennifer Whiteley writes about the experience of being filmed for the upcoming BBC Three series Junior Doctors (pictured).

"Getting to know a new job, a new hospital, a new team of colleagues, as well as a film crew was exciting! There were however, times when having a TV crew following me was difficult.

I was happy to have the crew with me as long as the patients were happy, but there were times when I felt it was too much to continue filming because of the nature of the conversations or procedures.

In these cases, I asked the film crew to stop filming, even though I knew these were the moments they were so desperately hoping for.

Protecting patients' privacy and dignity is something that has been drilled into all medical students from the beginning of our training."

4. Commissioning Editor Charlotte Moore provides an overview of documentary commissioning on the BBC - useful information for documentary makers and an insight into how the BBC goes about securing future output.

5. Having a good idea is only part of the process, however. The BBC's College of Production offers advice on how to produce 'taster tapes' to sell the idea to commissioning editors.
