BBC wins at the Broadcast Awards 2018

The Broadcast Awards 2018 were held at a ceremony in London last night (7 February 2018). BBC programmes took home prizes in nine of the 21 categories. 

BBC One was named Channel of the Year, and David Attenborough took home the Special Recognition award, while BBC World News' interview with Professor Robert Kelly which was gate-crashed by his kids was named TV Moment of the Year.

BBC Two's The Death of Jo Cox was awarded Best News & Current Affairs Programme, Planet Earth II took home the Best Documentary Series prize and Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad was the Best Documentary programme. 



Horrible Histories and Apple Tree House were Best Children's and Best Pre-School programme respectively. Who Do You Think You Are? Danny Dyer was Best Popular Documentary and Three Girls  was Best Drama Series.
