World on the Move was a day of special broadcasts which examined how the movement of people is changing the world.
The day began with a special edition of Radio 4's Today from the Radio Theatre, followed by Start the Week with Andrew Marr.
UNHCR special envoy Angelina Jolie Pitt delivered a speech which we broadcast live on the BBC News Channel (also available via the Radio 4 website); it warned against a "race to the bottom".
Later on in the afternoon, ex-Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) chief Sir Richard Dearlove warned against giving Turkish citizens visa-free access. BBC News broadcast reports from Vietnam, San Francisco, Iraq, Greece and Bangladesh.
There was a special live radio drama by award-winning playwright James Graham. Where Shall I Go, What Shall I Do?explored how the 'movement of people' isn't just a distant, global phenomenon but something that's affecting many young people here and now.
We've collated a selection of pictures from the day below.
