As you may have seen, Delia's Classic Christmas kicked off December with a festive bang on Tuesday. For those who can't wait much longer, Jana Bennett - the boss of BBC television - has asked me to post this sneak preview of our festive Christmas crackers to whet your appetite.

I must say your christmas preview was good ,but am i alone when i say i dislike soaps!can we have at least one christmas without eastenders?!or any soap for that matter?,we get these all year round same old story lines reinvented with different characters?? just 2 days without it would be great for us non soap lovers??

Well said William Parker like you soap is one thing I never, never watch. I remember when my parents were alive we had to sit around the box and watch Christmas eastenders. It has to be one of the most depressing things we had to do, pass the Prozac please. Christmas is a time for goodwill lets have real comedy and interesting programs and no soap for the whole of the Christmas period. Remember when Neighbours was on the BBC it was dumped for Christmas so if it can be done for one it can be done for all. End of rant.
