On this week's podcast we asked you for six footballers or managers who could play other sports. Think of the skills they show on the pitch or the sidelines and how these could be transferred to other sports.

You got in touch with your suggestions via Facebook and Twitter and here are six we picked out:

Peter Crouch - Basketball

Probably the most obvious one in the list. The 6 ft 7 striker certainly wouldn't look out of place amongst the giants in the NBA.

Peter Schmeichel - Javelin

A suggestion by Doc Savage - "The way he threw the ball over the halfway line". He has got quite the arm.

Pirlo - American Football Quarter-Back

The Italian is the player who gets most comparisons to the position in American Football. Mainly due to his amazing range of passing and vision.

Martin O'Neill - High jump

What the man lacks in height, he certainly makes up for with his leap. The former Sunderland manager is known for his huge jumps for joy when his teams score.

Paolo Di Canio - Long jump

We've seen some huge leaps up and down the touchline from the Italian since he took over at Sunderland. We think he could get pretty far in the sandpit.

Nani - Gymnastics

The Manchester United winger likes to show how flipping good he is whenever he scores a goal. With his pace and those backflips we fancy him to rack up a high score on the floor.

Have you got any other thoughts on anyone else in football who’d be good at any sports? All suggestions welcome in the comments section below.
