#Onthisday in 2005, Chelsea had just beaten Charlton 2-0 at The Valley to make it six wins out of six in the Premier League. They were champions, League Cup holders and had just won the Community Shield. All this had come under Jose Mourinho in his first spell as Chelsea manager.
But Chelsea's success brought complaints from fans of other clubs about the Blues style of football. Phillip, a Chelsea fan called 606 to tell us that he was definitely being entertained: "If you asked the vast majority of Chelsea supporters, they'd be happy with another thirty-two 2-nil victories this year". But Simon, who saw Chelsea beat his team, Charlton that day, disagreed: "When you watch a team like Chelsea…. You just think what is the point of having a team like that in the Premiership?"
What do you think? Was it "sour grapes" or did Simon have a point? Would you rather pay money to watch a team that wins trophies or a team that entertains you with exciting football? Let us know by commenting below.
