England's Euro 2012 Vets XI

Paul Scholes has only just made his return to Manchester United and he is already being tipped to join the England Euro 2012 squad – by none other than Harry Redknapp, the favourite to lead England to the Ukraine and Poland this summer. 

Before he made himself unavailable for his country in 2004 Scholes had racked up 66 caps and Redknapp believes he is a similar player to Xavi and Andreas Iniesta, insisting “you’d love to have Paul Scholes in the Euros.”



There are obviously a few maybes here – but if Redknapp becomes England manager and decides to call upon Scholes and persuade him to exit his international wilderness, who else might he drag back from obscurity?
