Dynasties: What the reviewers think

Must Watch TV reviewers Scott Bryan, TV Editor at Buzzfeed, and Sarah Carson, Deputy Culture Editor at the i paper, review Sir David Attenborough's new series, Dynasties.

What did you think? Leave your reviews below...

Scott says: "This is a must watch"

"We've had two years of incredible nature documentaries - Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II.

"What takes you by surprise with this one is that it doesn't hop-around, showing 10 minutes of Antarctica then 10 minutes in the Sahara. It sticks in one place for the whole run.

"At first I was a bit anxious thinking 'will I care about these chimpanzees?' - and actually, I really did.

"There's the 10 minutes at the end where they talk about how they made it. Here, they walked 1,500 miles, carrying 80kg in some of the hottest temperatures on Earth.

"How they manage to have the energy to do these shows is remarkable."

Sarah says: "It's just fantastic"

"It follows five animal families - I think they've done something clever, starting with chimpanzees.

"The way they present the community is very human-like and you're constantly reminded of how close a species they are to us.

"The leader of the group is called David and I thought, 'I wonder if they've had a laugh about how they're both called David' - no, one's a chimpanzee and doesn't speak any human language.

"It's just fantastic - it's so exciting. You expect the storytelling to be this rich and to have this suspense. It is just brilliant, it wows you!"
