Two Weeks To Live: What the Must Watch reviewers think
Every week, the Must Watch podcasters review the biggest TV and streaming shows.
This week, Hayley Campbell and Scott Bryan share their thoughts on Two Weeks To Live.
The Sky One comedy stars Maisie Williams as a 16-year-old who has been raised in a remote cabin and told to expect the end of the world at any moment, and BAFTA winner Sian Clifford as her mum…

Hayley says: "It’s fun and silly and zips along"
“Maisie Williams plays a 16-year-old whose mother has made her go to live in a cabin in the woods where they live like Doomsday preppers, which has an extra level of funny given everything that's happened this year, although I am sure the jokes about survival and land much differently to how they would have done pre-pandemic.
"Maisie's character decides to escape all that and go and live her life: she has a list, much like her Game of Thrones character Arya Stark – much of which is concerned with avenging her father’s death, and watching more movies than the four she's got recorded on battered VHS.
“I thought it was fun and silly and it zips along very quickly. It has short episodes, which I’m always a big fan of. I thought Sian Clifford was excellent in it. Her delivery is great and I wish she was in it more. It’s a Must Watch for me.”

Scott says: "It’s a bit like a puzzle, but some pieces are missing"
“The problem is that it starts in the middle. I had to check I was watching the first episode. I’ve never felt more thrown into the middle of a plot before.
“Sometimes it’s like they have so many jokes, and some of them land really well, but there is a pacing thing in trying to understand the characters and their situation. Part of it is a bit like a puzzle; but it also felt like some pieces were missing. You had to decide as you went along who you should be backing and supporting. Many dramas and comedies have that, but I don’t know if this was the true intention of the people who made this programme.
“I will say though that this show is very different and I like that. It’s very dark. I’d like to think that Maisie Williams is in this as some sort of sequel to Game of Thrones. It’s like her character [Arya Stark] left Westeros and this was the first situation that she came across – it’s in a very similar vein.
"I would say that it’s not as smart as some other shows that are out there, like The End Of the F***** World, but I would say still give it go.”
