A look ahead to London 2012 with a selection of Olympic stories from across BBC local, national and World Service Radio brought to you by 5 live's Eleanor Oldroyd.
This week, seven months after he broke his neck in a riding accident, Tim Stockdale is back on a horse and on course for selection for Britain's show jumping team for 2012. Stockdale was treated for six weeks in a spinal injuries unit at Oswestry in Shropshire after a fall last October but last weekend won an event in France on his horse Calico Bay. He spoke to 5 live's London Calling about this amazing recovery.
Controversy has hit Taekwondo this week after world number one Aaron Cook was omitted from the Team GB squad in favour of Lutalo Muhammad. The Dorset-born fighter quit the GB performance programme last year, leading to suspicions that his non-selection was politically motivated; there have been calls for his inclusion from across the sporting world including from Sir Steve Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent, while his former team-mate John Cullen suggested not selecting Cook would be the equivalent of "Barcelona dropping Lionel Messi." Team GB Taekwondo Performance Director Gary Hall defended the decision on Radio 4's Today programme. BBC Sport has all the latest Taekwondo news.
Olympic champion Christine Ohuruogu discusses her preparations to defend her 400 metres title this summer, Jessica Ennis celebrates her new British heptathlon record and swimmer Liam Tancock speaks about hot weather training in Florida.
As part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, Radio 3 will broadcast 20 outstanding new works, each lasting 12 minutes. These works include Joe Culter's "Ping" which brought together four members of the Fusion Table Tennis Club and the Coull String Quartet. These specially commissioned works will feature on Hear and Now on Saturday evenings from 10.30 PM and are available on BBC iPlayer.

She was banned in the same way by the BOA but seemingly saying she would move away from GB, she had her ban lifted. Yet under their lifetime ban rules they could never have selected her again anyway. Seemed harsh on Chambers for all that he was put through.
