Adrian Van Klaveren at the Radio Festival
Last week the UK radio industry's great and good gathered in Salford, 5 live's future home, for the Radio Academy's annual Festival.
As part of the Meet the Controller sessions the Guardian's Matt Wells interviewed our boss Adrian Van Klaveren. Here are two clips from the event.
What will 5 live sound like in Salford?

A strange claim when the comments and questions on the blog are often ignored or simply dismissed as being from a very small minority of listeners. Typical spin.

I think I shall file that with "impartiality is in our genes"
We need to get a wider spectrum of people into the higher echelons of the BBC...

Repetitve, insulting, tedious, are some of the words i would use to describe the majority of comments which come from the " small minority of listeners" pestering Nigel Smith et al, is akin to stamping your feet like Children, demanding you get your way.
No wonder the comments and questions are ignored

Bravo to democracy I say and for that reason I am quite sure that AVK appreciates and welcomes the fact that the actual listener is able to comment on 5lives output be it good or bad.

Was the ridiculous waste of money for not one minute more of programming broached? Was the largesse being lavished on BBC employees at the taxpayers expense (£1900 per MONTH) exposed?
One wonders.
Why not put up the full interview?
This is just propaganda.

Do you remember this?
"I appreciate that it's frustrating when comments aren't acknowledged, questions not answered and people who you've got used to seeing writing posts disappear after a while. I can't guarantee that I'll meet all your expectations but I will endeavour to make sure no one is left in the lurch from now on."

You made the mistake -- like so many before you -- of raising expectations and haven't delivered on them.
We're still waiting for _any_ of the questions in the humorously titled "Your Questions Answered" thread to be answered too.
Hope you enjoyed your film festival though.
