Quel means 'which' or 'what'.

It's a question word that works like an adjective and agrees with the noun that follows.

Quel is used before a masculine singular noun:

Quelle is used before a feminine singular noun:

Quels is used before a masculine plural noun:

• tu veux acheter quels légumes pour le repas ? - which vegetables do you want to buy for the meal?

Quelles is used before a feminine plural noun:

• je ne sais pas quelles chaussures mettre ! - I don't know which shoes to wear!
