Recording and presenting your work

You can present your work in a variety of ways. Different types and genres of music may use different forms of notation/recordings.

Someone composing a song for voice and guitar may choose to notate this using a musical score or produce a performance plan.

Someone writing for a string quartet may use notation software to produce a musical score.

Someone playing a jazz improvisation may record their performance. The following are all acceptable, as long as the information is all documented clearly.

Some other examples of ways to record and present your work include:

  • Musical score
  • Audio recording
  • Video recording of live performance
  • Performance plan
  • Graphic score
  • Blog
  • Journal
  • Annotated screenshots
  • Audio diary
