La semana pasada tuvo lugar un campeonato de atletismo en el campo de deportes de mi colegio. No soy una persona muy deportista pero participé en la carrera de cuatro cientos metros. Tenía miedo porque los otros alumnos de mi clase son mucho más rápidos que yo. Durante la carrera hice mi mejor esfuerzo y corrí lo más rápido possible. Terminé en tercer lugar - ¡lo que era fenomenal! El director nos dio las medallas y ¡estaba muy orgulloso de haber terminado!
Tenemos que llegar al instituto a las 8.30 a lo más tarde. A veces yo llego tarde y el profe me castiga, lo que me parece injusto porque generalmente la culpa no es mía, sino de la empresa de autobuses. Primero pasamos lista y luego empiezan las clases, que son muy difíciles ahora porque tenemos exámenes importantes al final del curso. Por eso, los profes nos ponen muchos deberes, lo que no me deja con mucho tiempo libre.
Translation:
Last week, an athletics championship took place on my school sports field. I'm not a very sporty person, but I took part in the 400 m race. I was scared because the other students in my class are much faster than me. During the race I did my best and I ran as fast as possible. I finished third - which was fantastic! The head teacher gave us medals and I was very proud to have finished!
We have to arrive at school at 8.30 at the latest. Sometimes I arrive late and the teacher punishes me, which I think is unfair because usually it's the bus company's fault, not mine. First of all we take the register and then lessons begin, which are very difficult now because we have important exams at the end of the school year. For that reason, the teachers give us a lot of homework, which doesn't leave me with much free time.
