Impact of cardio-respiratory endurance (CRE) on performance

This factor relates to how long you can perform without tiring.

It mainly refers to the ability of the heart (cardio) and lungs (respiratory) to continuously supply oxygenated blood to the working muscles.

The longer these muscles are supplied with blood rich in oxygen, the longer they keep the threat of at bay and therefore the longer you can perform for.

Your levels can have multiple different impacts on your performance in a range of sports.

Question

Using the 3-step process, how might CRE impact the last set in a badminton match?

PE and Biology

When learning about CRE, use you knowledge of the cardio-respiratory system from biology. Consider how this system can prevent the onset of lactic acid and how this allows your body to remain fresh. This is due to the ability of your body to breathe in oxygen and your heart to therefore pump oxygenated blood around the body.
