What is happening in the photo?
Transcript:Sur la photo, on voit une grande boîte en carton. Dans la boîte, il y a des bouteilles en plastique et des emballages en plastique. Je crois que la personne va les porter au centre de recyclage.
There is a large cardboard box. In the box, there are plastic bottles and plastic packaging. I think the person is going to take them to the recycling centre.

What are the recycling facilities like in your town?
Transcript:Les installations de recyclage dans ma ville ne sont pas très bonnes. On peut recycler le verre et le papier, mais on ne peut pas encore recycler le plastique. Je pense qu’il faudrait améliorer les installations de recyclage dans ma ville.
The recycling facilities in my town aren’t very good. We can recycle glass and paper, but we can’t recycle plastic yet. I think that they should improve the recycling facilities in my town.

What have you done recently to help the environment?
Transcript:La semaine dernière, je n’ai pas utilisé la voiture et je suis allée partout à vélo ou à pied. C’était fatigant mais c’est bon pour l’environnement et pour la santé. De plus, j’ai recyclé tous mes déchets et j’ai persuadé mes parents d’installer des panneaux solaires sur notre maison.
Last week, I didn’t use the car, so I went everywhere by bike or on foot. It was tiring but good for the environment and my health. Furthermore, I recycled all of my rubbish and I persuaded my parents to install solar panels on our house.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of recycling?
Transcript:Les avantages sont que c’est bien pour l’environnement et ça réduit la pollution de la terre et de la mer. Cependant, un inconvénient c’est qu’il n’est pas encore possible de recycler tous les déchets.
The advantages are that it’s good for the environment and it reduces land and sea pollution. However, a disadvantage is that it’s not possible to recycle all of our rubbish yet.

Should we protect the environment, and why?
Transcript:Bien sûr ! Il faut protéger l’environnement pour les générations futures. Si on ne réduit ni le réchauffement de la Terre ni la pollution, je m'inquiète pour l'avenir de la planète. Beaucoup d’animaux et de poissons seront en danger à cause du plastique dans les océans.
Of course. We have to protect the environment for future generations. If we don't reduce global warming or pollution I worry for the future of the planet. A lot of animals and fish will be in danger because of plastic in the oceans.
