Typical verbs using ‘de’

En is used with verbs followed by de:

  • revenir de (to come back from)
  • s'occuper de (to look after)
  • sortir de (to come out of)
  • arriver de (to arrive from)
  • partir de (to leave from)

For example:

  • elle revient de la boulangerie → elle en revient - she's back from the bakery → she's back from it
