Influenced by the witches’ prophecies, his wife and his own ambition, Macbeth kills King Duncan and seizes the Scottish throne. Inwardly destroyed by guilt, Macbeth dies at the hands of his enemies.
The morning after the murder, Macbeth feels guilty. He is so shocked, his hands are covered with blood and he still carries the daggers.
Lady Macbeth has to take control of the situation and goes to smear Duncan's servants with blood.
