How to use Bitesize for home education resources

Are you a parent or carer who is home educating children? Here at BBC Bitesize we’ve got a range of resources to help you learn at home, including a wide selection of games, quizzes, activities and videos across a range of curriculum subjects and topical dates.

We also have a home education offering to support your learning journey. Parents’ Toolkit is also available for parents who would like expert advice, support and stories from other parents. If your child has special educational needs and/or disabilities, the Parents’ Toolkit SEND collection also has lots of support.

Free home education resource pack for 2-5 year olds

Are you home educating a child aged 2-5? Finding the best place to start and free resources for home education can be a challenge.

To support you, Bitesize has created a free downloadable home education resource pack for 2-5 year olds, inspired by the EYFS national curriculum. This pack has been designed to create learning opportunities, meet the learning needs of children and help home educators to educate their children at home. In this pack you will find practical tools and activities such as an ‘all about me’ activity, a weekly timetable, 50 lesson ideas and much more!

Bitesize Early Years learning resources

Check out Bitesize’s Early Years resources to help your little learner discover topics such as maths and English. Although Bitesize uses some school-based terminology, you’ll find lots of useful you will find resources and activities such as games, quizzes and videos to inspire home learning.
