On 12 March 2008 Nigel Chapman, Director, BBC World Service hosted an evening of celebration at BAFTA in central London.

The evening was a resounding success and a fitting celebration of the excellence, innovation and creativity in BBC World Service.

Lyse Doucet and Michael Palin were a fabulous double act and, as the evening unfolded, the winners took to the stage to accept their awards and showcase their talent.
