Arun ChauhanBradys News
The Parkside Centre is Arun Chauhan's favourite hangout

'I go there to escape from home,' Arun tells us. 'At Parkside I can practice my mixing without Mum or anyone telling me to turn it down. I can play whatever I like, and there's usually other kids there who can tell me what they think too.' Besides, Imran who runs it is really cool'
Bradys News was amore surprising choice for the Top 5

Mary Brady explains why residents will have chosen the shop as a popular place to go.
'Gossip, of course!', she explains. 'There's always so much going on with the people of Silver Street , people come here to catch up on the latest! news and there's always something to hear'
Silver Hill ParkJodie Howard
Silver Hill Park is one of Zak Akhtar's favourite places

'Me and the boys head to the Park for a game of footie. It's a pretty cool place to chill out, play a few games and stuff. There's loads of space, so it's where a lot of the community stuff happens, like the Mela and all that. We have got some really cool memories of that place, had my first snog there...'
The Pump Works is a new hangout. Jodie Howard explains.

'It's a new development but people are already becoming regulars. They pop in before and after work and sit by the canal with a coffee. The bars and clubs are becoming more and more popular in the evenings. I would describe it as modern and new but with a traditional twist.

It's McDonalds, Indian style! The best take-away curries and snacks around. 'Chunky's rules! Their home delivery service has stopped me from wasting away' says Kuljit Singh. Sway Holloway adds, 'The curries are fantastic and extra-hot if you want that! No-one's ever finished one!'
